Months in England

What is Months in England?

Is it possible to live, study, and be self-supporting in England?

At least one hundred Bulgarians prove this each year! The Months in England Program is based on the experiences of Bulgarian people that have successfully lived and studied in England.

English Language Training

The program offers 3, 4, or 5 month English language courses which are taught in special foreign language training colleges in central London. These colleges are accredited by the British Council. Classes are held 5 days a week for 3 hours each day. Language training is conducted in small groups to ensure individual attention. Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive a certificate demonstrating their proficiency level in spoken and written English.

Self-Support Opportunities

Candidates may work in certain positions, such as barman, waiter, shop assistant, courier, housekeeper, etc. The payment in London is 4-6 British pounds per hour.

Monetary Allowance

Apartments in London cost from 35-75 British pounds per person. This price includes the reservation fee for the first apartment. The apartments are rented from Bulgaria at a cost of 150 pounds for a two week period. This sum must be paid after your arrival in London. At this time you may seek out a more inexpensive apartment in which to live. The typical price is 50-60 pounds per week for a bed. The apartments are nicely furnished and the school guarantees their quality. Participants must inform the property manager at least one week before leaving the apartment.

Food in London is reasonably priced if groceries are purchased in large shops. 20 pounds per week should be sufficient to feed one person. Remember to set aside money for transport, entertainment, clothing, and other purchases. With these miscellaneous expenses included, the monetary allowance is approximately 410 pounds per month.
